I just received an email with more pictures of Corban, showing him receiving the care package!!!! What a double blessing to receive two picture updates on him.

Gotta love Hello Kitty shorts!!! Glad to see him standing in a picture. Hang on little buddy, mama's gonna get a smile on that face. Can't wait to capture it!

Happy Birthday ZAG, Tegan!

Happy birthday to our litte guy, Tegan, who turns 2 today!

Hoping we will soon receive some pictures of him and his friends eating the cake we sent.

Today is also my birthday and I received a great present this morning, updated pictures of Corban!!!!

He looks like a whole new kid without his hair.  What a cutie!

Poor kid, looks like the just plopped him down and quickly took a picture.  Such a confused look.

Can't wait to meet him a get a smile on that face.



Update on Corban

I sent a care package to Corban this week: candies for the kids & nannies, a stuffed animal, a few summer outfits and a camera, plus a picture of our family to introduce us to the director and nannies at the orphanage.

I was surprised to receive an update on him yesterday morning already when I just ordered the package on Monday.  Unfortunately, we didn't get any new pictures of him but we did receive growth updates and a little information about him. Looks like sharing will not be an easy thing for him.

Here is what they say: 

He can walk very well. He doesn't speak yet.

He dislike congee. His main food is rice cereal and milk powder.

He is getting along with friends very well. He likes to wander around in the room and take other kids ' toys.

When he is unhappy, please give him some toys.

He understands the aunt 's words.

height :  84cm

weight:  10.5kg

head C:  46cm

chest C:  48cm
teeth: 16
feet length: 12cm

Most of these numbers are the same as his 21 month update but he has grown a cm so that is good.  The foot measurement will help give me an idea on shoes too.

I also ordered a birthday package to be sent to Tegan as he will turn 2 on Tuesday. I am hoping to receive some pictures of him and his friends sharing the cake.  We shall see.

Mountains moved!

With several mountains moved and having shared the news with our children, I can praisingly share with you this...

IT'S ANOTHER BOY!!!!

We received pre-approval from China this morning to bring home a second little boy who just turned two on May 20th.  Yes, he is the little boy I wished happy birthday to in a recent post. And yes, that means we will have two, two year olds who are less than a month apart in age.

So without further ado meet LXJ who we will name:

Corban Dale Xinjian Downey

We are all very excited and can't wait to bring both boys home this fall! Praise the Lord for all he has done!
